"Vail's Alpine Treasure" is situated at 8,250 ft above sea level, making it the highest botanical garden in the U.S. The gardens offer tours, educational programs, classes, and exhibits. Visitors will love the assortment of beautiful high elevation plants, exotic alpine wildflowers, perennial beds, rock gardens, and waterfalls.

Colorado Snowsports Museum & Hall of Fame

Guided tours, fascinating ski exhibits, historical artifacts, interactive media features. The newly renovated museum is located at the Vail Transportation Center in Vail Village. The museum explores the rich history of skiing and snowboarding in Colorado. Admission is free for visitors.

Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater

The Ford Amphitheater is a wonderful venue with a breathtaking backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. Concerts and performances are given an intimate setting with covered seating holding 1,265 people and the grassy hillside seating allowing for 1,300 people. The venue holds Vail's main concerts during the summertime and visitors can purchase food and drinks inside.

Farmer's Market and Art Show 

The Vail Farmer's Market and Art Show has been a summer staple for 17 years. 135 tents and 40 food vendors are lined up on Meadow Drive for 16 Sundays during the summer. The market brings visitors from all over the world to sample some of the Rocky Mountains' finest cuisine.

Shakedown is Vail's premier live music hangout. The underground bar is located in the center of Vail Village and offers live music on weekends during the winter and summer. Shakedown is  a great nightcap after apres ski for visitors 21+. There is typically a small cover charge at the door.
