Hiking in Vail

There is a reason hiking is Vail's most popular summer activity for visitors. Miles of hiking trails give way to stunning mountain views, dense aspen glades, waterfalls, wildflower meadows and Colorado wildlife. You may happen upon grazing elk or deer, foxes, and moose along your hike. Vail offers scenic trails for all ages and ability levels that be accessed by hiking up the mountain or taking a scenic Gondola ride to the top. The valley also has a numerous trails nearby the main mountain. Some of the most popular are: Booth Falls, Shrine Ridge and Upper Piney River Falls. With 300 sunny days a year, Vail is the perfect place to get outside and experience the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
