The industry's top instructors at the Vail Ski & Snowboard School serve as tour guides and coaches for lessons and specialty programs in the sports of alpine, snowboard, Nordic and adaptive.  Whether you want to explore new terrain, perfect your form, overcome fears or throw some tricks in the halfpipe, Vail is the place to expand your boundaries.

Beyond the basics, your instructor can answer most any question you may have about activities, nightlife, village hangouts and other fun stuff to make your Vail vacation complete.  Even seasoned skiers and riders get more from the mountain with workshops that challenge their skills and reveal Vail's hotspots.

FIRST TIME SKIER SERIES - 9:45-3:30pm
The First Time Series is a special offer for first time adult skiers at Vail which allows the participants to take three consecutive days of lessons and beginner lift tickets for one low price. The goal is to have you skiing confidently down our easiest trails after your first lesson series. You can do it!

First Timer Series Rules: 3-days of beginner lessons, 3-day beginner lift ticket and 3-day rental must be used on consecutive days. Ages 16 and up. Package is non-transferable. The same instructor all three days not guaranteed. Offer may not be combined with any other discount or offer. No partial refund will be given for unused days.

GROUP LESSONS: BEGINNER 
Skier Beginner Goal: To learn quickly and have the time of your life.
Snowboarding Beginner Goal:   To give you a thorough introduction to snowboarding and significantly reduce the number of falls.
Half-day: 12:30pm-3:45pm
Full-day: 9:45am-3:30pm

Vail Resort highly recommends helmets for this lesson.
Any student not wearing a helmet must sign a waiver to participate.

Private Instruction

Private lessons let you name the time, place and terrain you want to cover.  Plus, with one-on-one attention, you'll get the local's perspective on the Vail hotspots both on and off the mountain.  Let us fill in the blanks.

Ready to improve your skills with an adult group lesson? You don't need reservations, just show up at one of the following locations the morning of—or the afternoon before—the day you wish to take a lesson.

• Private instruction is offered for all abilities and disciplines (be sure to book early for holiday seasons).
• If registering the morning of, please allow a minimum of 45 minutes prior to lesson start time to pick up tickets and get fitted for rental equipment. 
• The best time to register is the day before the lesson start date: 11:00am-12:00pm or 1:30pm-2:30pm.
